I’m a T6 complete paraplegic, interested in sharing some of the wheelchair and SCI related experiences I’ve had since my accident 22 years ago. As a Mechanical Engineer, I have a natural interest in continuing to improve accessibility, mobility and capability. Through a bunch of trial and error, I’ve stumbled on updates, repairs and concepts I thought might benefit others. Likewise, I thought other folks might have similar experiences they can share with me and visitors here.

Some tips that come immediately to mind:

• What are the best ways to transfer from one place to another?
• What are the best devices we can use for traversing difficult terrain?
• How can I determine whether travel accommodations are suitable for my condition?
• What do-it-yourself things can I do and what should be left to others?
• How can I reduce the cost for many of the things I need?
